Contact usBuilt by the district, for the district
Nkangala E-Hailing Services exists to close a simple gap: national e-hailing platforms rarely reach the towns of the Nkangala District the way they reach South Africa's metros.
Who we are
Nkangala Ehailing Service (Pty) Ltd was registered as a private company in June 2026 and is headquartered in Model Park, Emalahleni. The company was formed by residents of the Nkangala District to provide a locally accountable alternative for everyday transport.
The problem we address
Commuters across the local municipalities of Nkangala often rely on informal or inconsistent transport options between towns, workplaces, and the district's commercial centres. Nkangala E-Hailing Services is being built to give passengers a reliable, trackable, and fairly priced alternative.
Our mandate
The company was formed to facilitate the development of an e-hailing service for the Nkangala region. This means coordinating the technology partnership, the driver network, and the operating standards needed to bring a reliable local service to the district.
Our mission
To provide safe, transparent, and locally accountable mobility for every local municipality in the Nkangala District.
South African, and Nkangala, focus
The platform is designed around local roads, local commuter patterns, and the specific needs of Mpumalanga's eastern highveld. It has not been adapted from a big-city model.
Technology
Nkangala E-Hailing Services works with technology partners to build and continually improve the booking, dispatch, and safety systems behind the platform.
Our vision
A Nkangala District where residents can move between its towns, from Emalahleni and Middelburg to Delmas, KwaMhlanga, Siyabuswa, and the Emakhazeni escarpment towns, with the same reliability associated with major metros, delivered by a company rooted in the district itself.
Commitment to safe mobility
Safety underpins every part of the service, from driver verification to in-trip support. See our full safety approach.

Safety is the foundation of everything we build
Our approach covers driver verification, in-trip protection, emergency assistance, and how personal information is handled.
Our approach to safety
Nkangala E-Hailing Services is built around a simple principle: no trip should compromise a passenger's or a driver's safety. That means verifying every driver-partner before they can accept trips, giving passengers visibility into who is driving them, and providing clear channels for support when something goes wrong.
Driver verification and requirements
Before a driver-partner can operate on the platform, they are expected to provide:
- A valid South African driver's licence
- A valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP), as required by law for the paid transport of passengers
- A police criminal clearance certificate
- A current vehicle roadworthy certificate
Passenger safety
- Driver name, photo, and vehicle registration shared before pickup
- Live trip tracking within the app
- Ability to share your trip status with a trusted contact
- In-app communication that keeps your personal phone number private
Driver safety
Driver-partners benefit from verified passenger accounts, a recorded trip history, and access to support if an issue arises during a trip.
Reporting an incident
If you experience or witness an incident during a trip, you can report it through the app, or contact our office using the details on our Contact page. All reports are treated seriously and reviewed by the company.
Privacy and personal information
Personal information collected through the platform is handled in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Passengers and drivers may request details of the information held about them by contacting our office.
Community standards
Passengers and drivers are expected to treat one another with respect. Discrimination, harassment, and unsafe driving are not tolerated, and reported incidents may result in a driver's access to the platform being suspended pending review.
